FAQ

Additional participants may pay in cash on the day of the tour.

Waiver. Houston Walks makes every effort to ensure that your tour will be safe and enjoyable. Tour participants agree that neither Houston Walks nor its guides, who are independent contractors, shall be liable for any damage or loss, including personal injury, death, or property loss.

What do I wear?  Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. In the summer, wear sunscreen and a hat if you are sensitive to the sun.

What do I bring? Water. You can get a complimentary cup of ice water or purchase a bottle of Fiji water at Local Foods.  An umbrella, for both the sun and the rain.

Weather. We do the tour rain or shine, in the heat or cold, unless the weather is dangerous.

Cancellations & Refunds. You may cancel your tour up until 48 hours before the start time. Your total tour fees will be refunded. If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, you will have up until one year from the date of your tour to reschedule. Please send Sandra an email at slord1040@gmail.com or call her at 832.973.9255 to reschedule. We are unable to provide refunds for no-shows.

Accessibility. There will be seating opportunities at most stops along the way. The area around Market Square Park is level and easily accessible. The tour also is suitable for people in wheelchairs and strollers. The tour is not suitable for people who are unable to walk or stand for 20 minutes or more without sitting down.

Special Needs. Houston Walks attempts to ensure that groups with special needs have an itinerary that recognizes those needs. Please notify us of any special needs as soon as possible; we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate special needs on the day of the tour unless we have the time to make plans in advance.

Children. Children should be aware that they will be touring in a professional environment and are expected to behave accordingly. 

Gratuities. Gratuities are not included in the price of your tour. If you feel a gratuity is appropriate, 15%-20% is the normal rate.
